EUPILOT participated in the ISC High Performance 2025 conference, held in Hamburg, Germany, from June 10–13, marking the 40th anniversary of this flagship event for high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and quantum computing.

More than 3,500 scientists, researchers, engineers, students, journalists, and analysts, alongside 195 technology developers and providers, gathered to celebrate this milestone edition. ISC 2025 offered deep insights into emerging computing paradigms, with AI at the forefront, powered by robust HPC infrastructure, and looking ahead to the quantum era.

EUPILOT was part of a joint exhibition booth with the European Processor Initiative (EPI), EUPEX, and DARE – Digital Autonomy with RISC-V in Europe. Together, the projects showcased their collective efforts in shaping Europe’s strategic independence in HPC technologies. Researchers Filippo Mantovani, Fabio Banchelli Gracia, and Kilian Peiro Conde (Barcelona Supercomputing Center), working under EPI SGA2, presented a live EPAC demo, which attracted significant interest from attendees.

Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) Session

On Tuesday, June 10, from 14:15 to 15:15, EUPILOT co-organized a BoF session titled:
“Shaping Europe’s Digital Autonomy: Collaborative Insights with EPI, EUPEX, EUPILOT, and DARE”
Speakers: Alexandra Kourfali, Etienne Walter, Jean-Robert Bacou, Osman Unsal, Carlos Puchol
Moderator: Romana Konjevod

The session drew a strong audience eager to hear about the challenges, lessons learned, and achievements of the four projects. Attendees also engaged in a lively discussion on the balance between openness and confidentiality, and the broader EU strategies that have shaped these initiatives.

Poster Session and EuroHPC JU Booth Talk

EUPILOT also participated in the Project Poster Session, where attendees had the opportunity to discuss the project in more detail with Principal Investigator Carlos Puchol.

In addition, on Wednesday, June 11 at 16:20, Carlos Puchol delivered a talk at the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (JU) booth, presenting the latest updates from EUPILOT. His presentation was followed by updates from representatives of EPI, EUPEX, and DARE, highlighting the collective efforts driving innovation and collaboration across Europe’s HPC landscape.
